Who was funnier at the charity event?

I gotta give the nod to McCain myself.
Obama's superman joke was good but the rest of them weren't that great.

I'd sort through the Youtube videos and post them here for people who didn't see it, but theres too many and I'm lazy. Just do a search for Obama McCain roast and you'll get a billion of em, at least until someone with more drive than me does it for you.

I definitely think McCain had the better speech.

Oh yeah, I certainly have to give that one to McCain, too.

McCain was funnier, though I liked Obama's somewhat dark humor, he didn't really pull any punches.

McCain's was funnier. Definitely.

I'd give it to Obama, I liked his sense of humor more. They were both pretty funny though. It was cool to see them taking friendly jabs at each other without going for political points, when the election is this close.

The thought of either of them being president makes the event less humorous

I've only seen Obama's, and I thought he was pretty funny. Did a good job absolutely ripping on everyone, himself included. I'll have to check out McCain's after work.

Don't like your President to have a sense of humor?

If that's the only thing they have going for them then yes. ;)

I may be an Obamaniac all the way, but McCain was definitely funnier.

Although Obama's joke about his ears was pretty good. :)

I also liked his rip on Biden; gave me a serious chuckle.

I loved McCain's rips on the Clintons and Obama.
He definately had the better writers and delivery (though I still love Obama coming from Krypton).

It could well be my own political feelings coming into play, but I'm siding with Obama. McCain's was absolutely great, and his delivery was wonderful (aside from his creepy smile,) but Obamas felt like the punches were a little harder. Reminded me like the Daily Show/Colbert Report, if they were instructed to 'lighten it up', and did so by reducing the number of punches, but left the strength of them.

I thought Obama was really funny on the stump speech the other day, where he went into his pie story. Hearing him say "I like pie" and mentioning all kinds of pie brought back fond memories of The Rock's mic work on WWE.

As for the dinner jokes, McCain did have some really funny stuff for sure like hiring Joe the Plumber to work on his seven houses, but so did Obama, the line about liking the Waldorf cause you could see the Russian Tea Room from there was killer. I'd call it a tie.

I have to side with McCain on this on. I felt he was able to keep the laughter going better than Obama was. They were both pretty good though.

That was a big thing for me. During Obama's speech, it didn't seem like he got his biggest laughs until after there was an uncomfortable silence and he sort of coached it along with an awkward laugh himself. McCain kept it going with a stream of good jokes and, even after the tone got serious, he ended it with another good joke.

Both were very funny. It's good to see the McCain be earnest and open, even if it's for an act.

That was a good half an hour of material. Bigger fan of McCain's act -- when he started ragging on Bill Clinton I started crying -- but Obama did a good number for himself as well.
