So, I spy my first LBP review (http://uk.gamespot.com/ps3/action/littlebigplanet/review.html), and predictably it's from Gamespot.
Little Big Planet is a startlingly imaginative take on the platforming genre, and its story mode, while short, is truly outstanding.
A big nine out of ten from the guys at Gamespot who obviously felt that the short story mode didn't merit too high a penalty. Do you agree?

I agree. No one's buying it for the story.

I had this pre-ordered at first but I think I'm going to hold off on it till after Christmas so that there is time for a bunch of user created content to go up.
It's going to be a good game, everyone that played the beta knows that. I think it just depends on how long it takes for all the crap content to get filtered out from the good content.

While there is no doubt in my mind this is a great game, I would just like to stop in and say never go to Gamespot. Ever. Seriously, DON'T.
If anything, go to GameFaqs for the message boards (but why would you do that?) 1up for reviews and Joystiq for news. Don't support biased reviews.

This is the first one you've seen?
I've been seeing them for days...

Lots there. I think the lowest it has gotten is a 9 so far. I played the beta, and even without a story mode this game would be worth $60 for me.

I don't care about reviews.... especially when this is down in my living room right now.

I love when stores are willing to break street dates.

Enjoy. If the beta was any indication, you got a lot of love coming your way.

Judging by the beta, you won't have to wait nearly that long. Even with the very limited tool set the beta gave you there were some pretty great levels up by the time I got access to it 6 days after it started. I'd say give it a week and you'll have more than enough out there to keep you entertained.
Well it has a 95 on Metacritic off of 17 reviews, so as has already been pointed out. Also the user score on Metacritic is only a 6.1 compared to a metascore of 95. Some fairly blatant ballot stuffing going on there then.

Eurogamer (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=259015) had a review up on Sunday.

It seems there have been quite a few while I was out of the loop earlier this week. Didn't see anything here on CoG though (and I did search before posting this) so it's not a complete waste of bits. ;)
