So, continuing on from my call to arms for all Euro CoGs, in yesterday's thread, and ignoring my aborted earlier attempt to post a poll, Raen and I seemed to decide that there should be a Euro CoG meet up.
Would you be interested?
If so where and when? I'm thinking London as the venue, although where exactly needs to be specified (Let's all go see Dark Knight at the iMax!)
The Eurogamer Expo springs to mind, (http://expo.eurogamer.net/) however that may be rather short notice, so please send your suggestions on the back of a postcard to:

Seriously, I'd like to hear how many are up for this, we could possibly turn this into quite an event.
The EuroGamer expo is pretty soon for some people, but I could probably pull it off for the 29th if people were up for it. I've got classes in the morning but I could get there for early afternoon.
To the people who said no, is it just not practical for you to come or are you not interested in hooking up with other smelly gamers? I'm just curious is all.

My yes answer only applies if it's in Paris and before Sunday night.

I'd definitely be up for it! My wife and I are actually hosting a Halloween party for our WoW guild in a couple of weeks and people from all over are coming. It'd be nice to go away to meet up with gamers.

Though I'll come if someone pays my way :)

I am pretty sure Squid posed this for those in the general vacinity. Not so much we godless heathens in the land of the falling housing market.

Everyone is welcome, KG, even you colonial types. Doesn't look like it will be much of a do though, people seem to not to want to leave their basements ;)

It's not a basement! The technical term is lair. :p

Possibly, but I'd only make it one day and get the train there and back. Fair trek from Glasgow.

I'd like to, but work would most likely stop me from being able to. I only ever get one day off at a time, not two like these fancy "weekend off" types.

Work sucks :( I'd imagine most people could only go for one day anyway, although it'd be a fair trek from Yorkshire. Luckily my studentness combined with my current unemployedness makes getting there easy, but funding it less so.

I can't make it. I like the idea, but I can't take the time off before the end of the year. Also, I'm in the US right now, so making it there before 11/04 is hard anyway.
Sl1pstream would you come over to the UK if you were available for it? I was just wondering about the opinions of people on the continent coming over to the UK.

I think I would. It might be better to ask people further away though, since it's only about two-three hours for me by train. If I had the time to find an affordable hotel, I don't see why I wouldn't.
Then again, I'm more impulsive when it comes to these things than most people are. A lot of people wouldn't travel to the other side of the planet for a gaming expo like PAX.

I might come, depending on the date as I go over fairly regularly to visit friends and family. Unfortunately I am in the middle of moving countries right now so it isn't particularly convenient.
I think the main thing is thinking a bit further ahead than about a fortnight. While the EuroGamer expo would be awesome, it is a bit soon. Thinking a bit more long term lets people make plans etc...
