360 Controller for Windows PC

I saw this at best buy : Wireless xbox360 for windows controller (http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10083648&catid=20383) - $77 is pretty steep and I already have 3 wireless controllers that i've aquired over the years.

Can you buy the wireless reciever that comes with it seperately? Its all I really need anyways isn't it considering the controller is just a standard wireless con?

I have one. It works great. You can use it for the racing wheel and wireless headset too.

Actually, I've read a lot of reports saying they discontinued the separate receiver. Even Amazon doesn't sell it anymore, only one of their marketplace sellers, for a $40 used or $70 new.

A better deal is the controller+receiver bundle, and if you shop around I'm sure you can occasionally find a deal on those.

I just got a wired 360 controller for my PC. I never game very far from it.

Although, here's the bundle of the wireless 360 controller and the Windows receiver for $49. Not a bad deal at all.

That's obnoxious that they would leave the page for it up on XBox.com when it's been discontinued.

I also have one of those that I picked up at Circuit City before they went under, and agree with total that it does the trick quite nicely.

too bad they still advertise for it. i just want the reciever dont' need another controller and I checked bestbuy/FS around here and they only sell the wireless one. will have to stick with keyboard/mouse until i'm able to find the reciever.
