Okay, I think I've caved. I wanted to hold off on spending any money on games until Gears 2 comes out, but I just don't think I can with Toy R Us' Buy 2, get 1 free deal. So here's what I was thinking of getting:

Brothers In Arms:Hells Highway (I just want to know if online play is laggy)
Tales of Vesperia
and I'm not sure about the last one but I'm leaning towards Silent Hill:Homecoming (but I want to know if it's worth buying. I've never played a Silent Hill game by the way).

So any thoughts or suggestions?

Dead Space :)

I thought about Dead Space too, but I've heard it's kinda on the short side. Unless those of you that have played say otherwise? I will at least rent it.

Instead of buying two and getting one free at $60 each (total $120), why not wait until they're only $20 each (total $60)?!?

Now, how the heck is he supposed to spur the economy by making frugal decisions such as that?

Because every day I don't have Gears 2 is a living hell.
Not really, I just want to play something new.

Buy three games from TRU in the B2G1 free deal. Make sure the third one is the one you want to keep (or not).

You have 30-45 days to return them. Don't open 'em! When new games come out, you can exchange for what you want.

You can also return them to Walmart without a receipt! Enjoy.

That depends on how you play it. If you take your time to explore and immerse yourself in the story instead of finishing it as fast as you can, then the length is easily 20 hours.

I see no point in rushing to the end of it just to say it's only 12 hours.

Can we back this up a bit? You are concerned with how Brothers in Arms performs Online? That is so drastically not the point of the game.

Also, as a general rule, don't buy a sequel to a Japanese Franchise unless you already are a crazy Hello Kitty wearing fan already.

Read my above post so you can get the games you want. SH and BiA are rentals at worst, I'd recommend waiting for price drops.

Tales was BORING. I would say rent it just to make sure its worth it to you.

I think that the real answer is save your money for Fallout or Left 4 Dead. Or buy the Witcher right now from Stardock, DRM free.

I know that Brothers in Arms' online play isn't the main focus, but I have a buddy who has the game and would like to play 1 v 1 games against him relatively lag free.

I like Tales of Symphonia a lot and Vesperia has been praised as being better than it.
