Fuck Portland. They have a few of my favorite bands that never tour here and now this!? God I would to live there...

Um, considering Portland is in Oregon, I don't see where the Midwest factors into this discussion.

Fucking west coast. We midwesterns watch movies too, goddammit! And not just those of us that live in Chicago. Goddammit.

I took it to mean he's in the midwest, and he hates it. I'd be tempted by this, except that there's no guarantee of getting in, so it's not worth the 5 hour round trip.

Yeah... kind of figured that after the fact. And reading the post after mine. :)

Can I raise my hand as agreeing with that statement? I soooooo miss the West Coast it ain't funny. I would have a very, very hard time deciding where to move if I could choose between somewhere in Oregon/Washington or back in Austin, TX.

Alas, those choices are taken from me for the next 18 years so I guess I'd better get used to the fucking MidWest. Stupid Cincinnati. :(

At least its not IOWA. I have to leave my state to actually go anywhere interesting.

I want to move to Portland so bad. They have a great music scene and many a Travel Channel special has shown me that their culture and food are great. Plus, the weather up there is more of what I would enjoy.

Anyone try/get to go?
It sucks, my friends really wanted to take me on a short trip to Portland...tomorrow.

I love Portland. It's my home. I'd like to move back there someday, but Eugene is starting to really grow on me.

Wow. You're right. Especially with the kind of stuff they grow around here.

With Oregon, it's more likely herbal.

Portland's my hometown, I'm just living on the East Coast for a while. ;-)

Portland is an amazing city. Great beer, great music, great nightlife, and lots of cool events like this.

You really don't want to see the rough cut of a film. As the movie is still a year out, so you get shitty placeholder CG instead of good shit.

Now if they were only showing this at a theater that served one of our many fine microbrews

To be fair, the entire west coast has great beer.

The man has a point.

But Portland really was apart of the microbrew revolution.

More breweries per capita than any other city in the Union (and strip clubs).
