We don't even have the damn first game yet (not until January I believe), but White Knight Chronicles is already getting a sequel in Japan.
Called White Knight Chronicles: The Awaken of the Light & Darkness, details are still slim on the title. Expect to see more on it, including a trailer, at TGS later this week - though Famitsu confirms the title won't be playable at all.
I'm assuming it's PS3, but the article doesn't specify, and with games like VC getting PSP sequels, I'm not assuming anything. Not that I'd be disappointed one way or the other, but damn, at this point I just want the first game.

I'm already past wanting the first game to be honest. The robot shit and the big turtle from the trailers looked awesome but damn that game has some PS2 plastic doll quality character design (and PS2 length localization process, come on, and at this rate FFXIII will be out before it even hits.). I'll pass.

WKC seemed to be cut from the same cloth as FFXI last I heard of it, and that dampened my expectations. I will remain interested in anything Level 5 release, though, so it will stay on my radar.

There's enough other stuff for me to play for now so I'm not complaining. If WKC was worth playing last year, its the type of game that will be worth playing next year.

The hype for this game is well and truely cooled now. Likely it'll see a medicore release in the EU/US even if it is an amaxing game. Then they won't bother releasing the sequel due to poor sale of the first game.

It'll probably do what most RPGs this gen have done in the West, around 200k for the US. I doubt that will deter them from releasing the sequel, it hasn't stopped anyone from putting out mediocre RPGs on the 360.

And as others have said, it's a Level 5 RPG, I'll wait as long as I have to, even if I'm not happy having to wait. The amount of time it's taken to get WKC out has been stupid.
