I want some input on a character idea for my D&D group, but I didn't want to start a whole thread just for that. Therefore, I declare this thread to be the one-stop shop for analog gaming advice, whether it be character builds, game recommendations, etcetera.

It's general practice to have a new character in mind in my 3.5 D&D group in case your current one dies, and isn't resurrected for whatever reason. I really want to play a chaotic good character, and I've been mulling over a fighter/barbarian. Here's generally what I had in mind.
14 levels of Fighter. Combat feats are what the character is all about, and 14 fighter levels ensures there's plenty.
6 levels of barbarian. Why 6? So he'll get Improved Uncanny Dodge at 5, and may as well tack on another, since fighter bonus feats only come on even numbered levels. I'll be taking Extra Rage, and maybe Extended Rage to offset the low barbarian levels.
He'll use a maul (from Complete Warrior) and I was going to get a large instead of a medium class sized one so that it will be a two-handed weapon.
So who's a 3.5 vet who has some thoughts for me?
