I managed to get hold of the European version of the Korg DS-10 Sythesizer from GAME this week. For those of you who don't know this is a DS app (not game) that turns your DS into a Korg DS-10 analogue sythesizer. Click on the you tube vid below to see it in action:

I've been playing about with it and I'm able to compose some really interesting tunes with it on the fly.

I just want to know if anyone else has seen this thing? It looks quite initimating to use but it's suprisingly intuitive.

For those of you in the UK here's the link to GAME to buy it:

From what I understand, GameStop and many other retailers won't be carrying it. :(

I've had the import from Japan since its release. I've had a few moments where I've made some nice beats but not anywhere close to making a full composition yet. Need more time to really come to grips with what this thing can do. In the right hands, it's really powerful.

Is it possible to save creations so they can be shared online?

Yes, you can indeed save creations. Basically each Session you create has 16 pattern blocks that you can save. Each pattern block is like an 8 beat loop of information. Most full length songs will consist of you combining the various patterns you create into some kind of sequence. There are 8-10 slots for saving sessions in (if I had my DS with me I'd tell you exactly).

These can be uploaded and downloaded or shared in some way I do believe.

Another cool feature is that you can link up to 4 DS units together wirelessly (each needs a copy of the game though) and run ALL FOUR of their audio through one of the DS units, so you can run a line from the headphone out on that DS to a line-in on a recording device, if that's your thing.

I cannot find a copy of this anywhere around here, and that sucks. I may just have to order it.

You can only buy it online in the UK. GAME are stocking it as I stated in the OP.

I'm quite interested in the KAOSS-like functionality in it but other than that, i'll stick with the MS-20 VST version.

Also, no Square waveform = bad choice (The original MS-10/MS-20 had it so why remove it?)

According to Amazon the US release is Nov 4th.

Well, that would certainly explain why I have been having a hard time finding it.

This is definitely more for musicians than gamers. I am hoping to pick this up to add to my collection of musical swagger.
