The demo for Tom Clancy's EndWar is now available on Xbox Live (unless you live in Switzerland). The demo contains a single map that you can play in both single and 1-on-1 multiplay.
For those of you who missed out on the beta a few months back and the most recent one, this should be something you take a look it. Especially with it's voice command system and unique style of play.
The game releases on 11/4 in North America and 11/7 in Europe.

Damn. University servers aren't going to like me this week, between downloading the CoD: WaW beta last night and now this. Thoroughly enjoyed the previous beta though so I can't wait to play it again.
Nice, downloading now. Been looking forward to this.
Edit: I for one am really digging it, although the demo was really short. I was amazed at how well the voice command worked, and i might just pick this game up on release, if only to play around with that.

I've never been a fan of voice commands. I'll have to see if the 'simplification' of the process helps any.

I just don't like it. I don't feel like I have enough control of the action. It's simple enough to use, works well enough, I just feel too pulled back.
Is it 100% controlled by voice or are there other control schemes?

I watched the Gamer Chix, or whatever those girls are called, play this a few months ago and it just seemed 'dumbed down' for use with voice controls. 'RTS-Lite,' probably.

I wasn't really following this one too much but the idea of it being completely controllable by voice commands has me intrigued. I'll definitely be downloading this when I get home.

I'm with Nick. I was in the beta and was just not excited about it. I felt very lost with the amount of teams on the board and watching as you give voice commands and the camera whips you directly to the squad you call possibly far away.
I think it is an interesting game, but it might have been better if you were in control of one group of soldiers instead of multiple groups at one time.

I'm with penguin and fox on this one. I really liked the idea of this game, but when I was in the first beta, I just couldn't get into it. It didn't jive with me. I didn't really like the voice controls, and lack of actual control.
I'll give the demo a try again, but I'll probably skip it.

I got in a pre-release version of this demo over the weekend. It's more of the same.

I was part of the closed beta and the game played really well. The voice commands worked perfectly and it puts you through Voice Recognition training. The vocals worked well in the beta so I can only assume they are good in the demo/retail.
downloading tonight.

The big question is: Can it deal with a Newfoundlander's accent?

I remember the voice authentication section being quite thorough, so I'm guessing it can handle your accent.

This game is awesome, the voice command system is really good and the game is fun to play.
It doesn't always register what you said perfectly, but for the most part it is flawless.

"mostly flawless"
doesn't that mean... "flawed"?

I think it is an interesting game, but it might have been better if you were in control of one group of soldiers instead of multiple groups at one time.
This is why the game is better when you are doing teams, instead of 1vs1. 1 vs 1 you are controlling up to 12 units at 1 time, where as 2 vs 2 you are controlling 6, and 4 vs 4 you are controlling 3...
The intial beta a few months ago had this available, where the new beta/demo only allows 1 vs 1 play (I'm assuming to test more possible instances of games, rather than total people connecting to a certain version of the game).

Yes, though what I meant to say was that the system doesn't always register what you say at first, which means the rest of the command gets screwed up. Other then that though, there really isn't a problem.

So I finally gave this a spin last night, for the most part I enjoyed it. I liked the command & control style gameplay, the game only misinterpreted my commands a total of three times out of the 4 missions I played and for some reason the command was for the camera every time.
My main beef is the camera and how the only camera available is the unit camera. There doesn't seem to be a way to get decent wide view of the battlefield. Identification of hostiles on the battlefield could be better as well. This is a game that just screams to be put on PC to have multiple display support.
