I didn't really care about DJ Hero until now. Now I have to buy it.

I still think the other DJ game will turn out to be more fun in terms of actual mixing and the ability to play around with tracks more, but it seems DJ-Hero has the support of more musicians.

There hasn't be a whole lot of advertising for DJ Hero but it's looking pretty solid so far. At the very least I might pick up the soundtrack for the game.

I'm excited because of the interesting new gameplay... but I think it really needs some BT.
One of the songs is Daft Punk's "Technologic" vs. Gary Numan's "Cars." I was sold before that.

You know, I'm only vaguely interested in either DJ titles. After these release out on the market, I swear the music genre will have become completely saturated just like first person shooters.
I mean, honestly; where can you go next after this?

There's still PLENTY to do. The music genre in Japan has a wide variety, and I've been importing since the first Beatmania in 1997. In America, the music genre was, for many years, pretty much just DDR. Then it was just DDR and Guitar Hero/Rock Band. The "saturation" is really still just these three games; they just keep releasing new tracks for them.

Which is exactly what I'm talking about. We need something new. The Guitar Hero/Rock Band thing is fun and thankfully this DJ Hero thing going on is another nice idea.
The big question that I had is where can they go next after this, Flute hero?

Music games don't have to simulate instruments. Look at Beatmania, or Frequency, or...

Don't misunderstand I like Daft Punk, a lot. Its just I was already planning on getting this before I found out about this. The tracklist rocks..

I just pre-ordered, and it was 100% due to Daft Punk and the track list. I can only hope and pray from more of their songs as dlc. The rest of the set list is nice, but when it comes to dance/electronic music DP set the bar.
