It's the first XBLA game by a Chinese dev. That's all I know because I didn't click on the headline at Gamasutra a few days ago.

I was interested in Age of Booty until I read the Eurogamer review which said single player was frustrating and poorly balanced.

I'll wait until I see some impressions here before handing over some coins.

According to one of the devs:

Single player is mostly for tutorial. Sure, the challenges are fun in and of themselves, but that's not the core of the game.

AoB is really multiplayer focused (which is why we negotiated with MS to be the first online allowed demo). Additionally, the demo isn't a seperate matching pool from the full game. So you should be almost always be able to find people to play with (even a year from now).

And as you guys are seeing, it's ALL about teamwork, which is why it's so great taking a few friends online in the party based match making system.

Yeah what is that CrazyMouse game? Seems like it's a collection of minigames but that press release doesn't tell you jack about it.

The mouse game is freaking terrible. It might just beat Yaris as the worst thing on Live Arcade. However "Age of Booty" is a lot of fun. I don't play a lot of strategy type games, but this one was simple enough that even I could jump right in. I went ahead and bought it hoping I could convince some of my friends to do the same. I think it will be a lot of fun multiplayer.

Now I just want Vigilante 8 and that Castle Crashers patch.

We had a 6 person game of age of booty going on around 2 pm est today. And it was a lot of fun. Definitely check it out.
