There is one the front page. But it disappears when you enter the forums. I am sure they are working on that.

Hmmm I'm torn on the sidebar. On the one hand it's kinda neat having it there, but on the other hand I never really found it THAT useful because often topics are just flying by too quickly for me to really keep up with the sidebar. :D
