There were hair raising screams of pain when people found out upon playing the PC version of Resident Evil 4 that the game didn't even support mouse INPUT, much less proper controls. Remember the little MouseAim tool that was released by the mod community afterwards that barely made the cut as a mere compromise?
Let the skepticism nurtured by such experiences to rest, because it turns out that the PC version of Resident Evil 5 aims to mend the series' ports' ways. In a video preview over at Giant Bomb, you can check out the new aiming system that the game switches to when you're using the Mouse/Keyboard controls. Got a 360 controller plugged in? Just pick it up and start playing as well... the game will automatically detect it and switch to the console version's aiming system on the fly.
