Anyone here ever play this?
I am a long time fan with about 1000 in dice over the last decade. We hold a monthly get together to play. Just wondering if anyone plays or has played. For some reason I like the dice better than cards...even though it doesn't have as much art, you can't fight that awesome feeling or rolling about 40 dice at a time and just laying waste to your enemy.
Anyway just seeing if anyone played.

Sure did. I still have a large box of them sitting in the dungeon of forgotten games (AKA: our office closet).

I never had the chance to get into the later expansions though, mainly because outside of conventions, I never could find anyone to play. It really was a blast, though, and totally one of those pick up and play casual games that's great at big gaming events to relax between tournaments or whatnot.

It's great to here you at least got to play them.
We still do as the new company seems to have brought it back to life.
I agree about being able to just play anywhere. It's maybe the most shallow yet in depth game I have ever played.

Last week when I was in my comic book shop, there was the starter box sitting on the counter. I was like "Oh, cool, Dragondice. I remember that game." I realize I should have bought them right then, they probably won't be there when I go back tomorrow.

Man, that game was fun when I was in summer camp.

Just try the website.
New and old dice in packs for 2 plays for like 17.
Great price

Wow, I forgot all about this game. It's alright, easy to pick up and learn, but doesn't hold my attention for long.

I had some of the very first ones from waaaaaaaaay back when they came out. Some kid at my school stole 'em from my backpack one day, and that pretty much ended my time with Dragon Dice. I do remember it being a fun casual game to play though.

Might want to check it out again. With the advanced rules and cheap price you can have some pretty insanely stratigic battles.

I loved that game! I've still got all my dice in the shed.

I got to talk to the new owner of DD at GenCon in '07, and he certainly has some good ideas and plans for the game, but I haven't had a chance to check it out in many, many years.

Really? That would be interesting. I know they are talking about new terrain and such. I found some excellent fan rules including raids online which we use.

HA! I remember Dragon Dice. Like most of you it seems, there in a box somewhere collecting dust. i think i stopped playing because it seemed i'd need a shovel to roll all the dice at some point if i got serious with it...
