It looks like the first DSi-exclusive retail game (http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2009/09/01/monster_finder/) is on the way.
The game sounds like a monster-battling RPG. Monsters are collected/identified/captured using the DSi cameras. Not much is known, but the official site (http://mf.alphastation.jp/) (Japanese) promises more details soon.

And this is what sucks about the DSi, games that are only playable on the new, slightly upgraded hardware.

It's like the Go getting exclusive games. It would suck and there really isn't enough reason to upgrade to the new hardware.

Pretty much. Though with the Go the only way they could really make it exclusive is to lock it out via software, there is no technical reason for it. That would just be stupid.

Only reason I got a DSi was because my DS was starting to get cracks in the hinges, and I wanted to get full trade-in on it.
