Hey guys

I'm going to be asking Epic some questions about Gears 2, specifically co-op questions.

If you have any feel free to post them here or over at Co-Optimus (http://www.co-optimus.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2124).

I'll post my question here since it has nothing technically to do with co-op, but is related to multiplayer.

Cliff mentioned multiplayer bots (http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/12/gears-of-war-2s-day-one-map-multiplayer-bots-revealed/) in earlier interviews of GoW2, but there hasn't been a peep about it since. Is this feature still going to be in this game, and if so, which modes?

Does it support offline co-op?

If not, how fast do you run?

Is the offline co-op drop in, or do I have to start a separate campaign to play it?

Is co-op limited to two people? Are there different scenes if you play co-op as opposed to single player?

Regarding Gears of War 2: Will Cliff please marry me?

In all seriousness, I'll try to think of a real question soon. Which is not to say I'm not serious about the above question. ;)

I know this was being discussed earlier... and I'm pretty sure the local co-op is drop-in because Cliffy said one of the reasons for having drop-in/drop-out was to make it more accessible to girlfriends. I honestly don't think he'd believe that the casual-gaming girlfriends that he's trying to appeal to would have their own 360s and copies of Gears 2.

But it's still a good question since I'm not 100 percent sure about my answer.

Yeah, I know you mentioned that previously, but I'd like to hear it straight from the horse's mouth. This could be the difference between me buying it after a price drop, or not buying it at all.

I think on 1Up Yours they mentioned 2 player campaign, 4 player horde mode. No idea if the story changes.

I believe Horde mode is 5 players, like all the multiplayer in GoW 2.

How many segments are there where Marcus and Dom take different paths? Are these segments still utilizing the "you die if your partner dies" mechanic?

And here was me thinking rin had taste.

OT: Are there any Co-Op specific moves, or moments akin to the spotlight scene in Gears 1?

And here was me thinking rin had taste.

Aww, come on. I'd like to think I have the right to be shallow sometimes. :(

(It doesn't take away from my love for Gary Oldman and Steve Buscemi, you know.)

Are you able to get teamkilled when playing co-op in Gears of War 2 and if so, what are the penalties?

I want to know if I can "get" teamkilled in co-op. I never played Gears of War but I am considering getting Gears of War 2 after I saw this:
