Siliconera just posted their hands-on impression of Sega's upcoming multiplayer online RPG, Phantasy Star Zero (http://www.siliconera.com/2008/10/14/hands-on-phantasy-star-zero-team-up-and-slay-that-dragon/) (PS0).

Since we were connected via local wireless play I couldn’t get a sense of lag issues over Nintendo Wi-Fi, but the good news is Phantasy Star Zero does a fantastic job of recreating the Phantasy Star Online experience even though it has cartoony characters.

I'm all over this. I'm a die-hard Phantasy Star guy and any installment will get it's blessing from me.

So I'm assuming the menu system is controlled on the lower screen while the action is on top? Perfect. Now, if I can only get PSO to play online on my Wii I'd be on easy street.

Count me in, I am really hoping I can get some local friends together for some coop, as I never really want to take the time to hook up with others with Nintendo's archaic online structure.
