With the last SR, my buddy had two saves - one for going through the game normally, one for messing around, using cheat codes, etc.
Today he started his normal save, played about 2 hours. Then, we created an absolutely ridiculous character (my stomach hurts from laughing so hard), and started messing around.
Trouble is, when the crazy character auto-saved, it didn't do it on a different path than the first character. It seems like there is only one save per profile, per storage device. When he tried to go back to his "serious" game, it had been overwritten - I didn't watch him like a hawk or anything, but neither one of us ever saw a warning screen or anything.
So for those of you who do similar stuff, be warned - get a save card and save somewhere else.
