Thrice's Beggars is a brand new album from the band, and I think it's easily one of their best albums. Their last few albums have been mindblowingly good, and this one is no exception. It's far and away the best album I've heard all year, and one of my favorite albums ever.

You can pick it up on iTunes right now, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone that loves great, well-made music. And if you're a Thrice fan... this is just another masterpiece to enjoy.

Also, the band produced this one entirely by themselves, with their own money, so do show your support and pick this up to show them how much you appreciate it!

Unfortunatley for me, they've changed too drastically into another style that does not suit. They are a band I once thought of as a favorite. Illusions of Safety is still one of my favorite albums ever. This one just did not please me. I need aggression while being technical, and I just don't feel the aggression to the point where they don't even seem technical anymore.

To be honest, Adam, I know the kind of music you like, and I can see how 'old' Thrice would appeal to you much more than 'new' Thrice does. 'New' Thrice is highly experimental, progressive rock... and is just a natural result of them evolving and pursuing their creative interests.

To put it simply, if you listen to Thrice's albums in chronological order, you're watching them grow up not only as musical artists, but as people. This is reflected in the melodies and lyrics, along with the themes presented in each album. I think it's a beautiful progression that offers a wide variety of different music for whatever mood you happen to be in.

I like the new Thrice album. I am also digging the latest Manchester Orchestra and Modest Mouse stuff. Brand New just released something as well, I'll give it a listen soon.

Been listening to this: it's proggy, but chill - I like it.
