Unused PAX Hotel Reservation?

I posted this in another thread but didn't want it to get buried...

Is there anyone that was planning on going and had a hotel room reservation that is no longer going? I know it's late, but work has been hard to plan for lately and today was the first day where I was sure I could miss those two days and not dick anyone over, but all the hotels seem to be sold out (outside of the airport Marriott but that's 15 miles away from the city).

If anyone still has a reservation they aren't going to use, hit me up with PM.

I would post in the PAX Hotel Room sharing thread as I have heard rumblings of a few naer-do-wells not making it out for PAX.

For whatever reason the Hyatt shows rooms available via their site, but not on the PA site...I'll have to call them today and check it out.

There's a certain amount of rooms that's available for PAX, at the PAX discount. There's still a chance that hotels have available rooms, they just won't give you the PAX discount on those rooms, I think.

Honestly, the PAX discount wasn't that good. Reserving directly through hilton got me a better rate a the Homewood Suites than was part of the PAX "deal".

I'm going to run through my company's travel rates and see if we have any corp discounts that I can grab up there.
