We survived an AfD and have our very own entry. We've gotten it started, now let's let the interwebs afar know why we're the best gaming community on the Internet!

Article for Deletion. Like 2 seconds after I created the entry some moderator, a.k.a. dickhead, flagged it for "not being notable" and was contended for deletion. It was let go just recently (Thanks to TrackZero!)

Awesome! Great job to you and Track for getting the entry up and arguing to keep it there.

Way to go! I never thought I'd see my name on Wikipedia, and I didn't have to write my own article to do it!

Plus you didn't have to write your own bio related to the industry like Phil (Evil) recently did on the EA Wiki page...heh.

Only thing I will note is I think the staff and CoG network site section should be spaced better. I hate to invoke EA Wiki, but I like the bullets there. I'm also a stickler for alphabetizing as well :D

Wow, yeah, I'm looking at the revision history (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Evil_Avatar&action=history) of the EvAv Wiki page, and it's kind of hilarious.
"Please stop vandalizing this page!" comes up a lot.

There was a time modeps had edited the EA page and put himself into the Hall of Fame. He's been at the site, what, 2-3 months?

It's stupid that a fully fleshed out page was argued for deleting when there are "stubs" that have all of one sentence. Wikipedia needs to focus on the content more than the popularity.

Honestly AfDs happen almost immediately after any page is built. It's like vultures circling waiting for something new to pop up so they can debate its validity.

I assume he just wanted his name in a Wikipedia entry. But the Hall of Fame? Wow.
Yeah, it really does...
Somehow, I have a feeling that what they were adding to the page wasn't really "vandalism" and was more like factual information.

You can look at older revisions by clicking on history and comparing 2 versions.

Your suspicions are correct. Sure, some tools decided to defame and deface the site, but the majority of them were factual entries that Phil (Evil) could have addressed in a mature manner instead of chucking his toys out the stroller.

lol, I went to the Evil Avatar wiki and noticed the "Hall of Fame" thingy with Bapenguin and Fitbabits mentioned so I clicked edit to add that they went on to found CoG, except when I got the edit page someone had already entered that information. What a koinkidinke!

Since the EvAv wiki page mentions COG (and I cant believe Phil honestly tried to remove that, thats just pathetic), the page should be updated with a link to COG.

Just noticed this quote from an old interview with Evil (http://www.loonygames.com/content/1.10/profile/):
I saw you hanging around the forums where we were discussing the 'state of the community,' and the article we recently ran on it. What do you think about the community as it is now?
I think that the community is very empty right now. There aren't a lot of personalities left, everyone seems to be so busy with the "business" of running a good web page that they forgot what they started the page for in the first place. I talked with some people running a big web site recently and I asked them, "have you played...such and such really Hot game" and they said, "I don't have time to play games, I'm too busy". That is pretty sad when you're running a game web page and not playing games.
Ironic.
Great that Track managaed to beat the mods. However someone needs to shrink the CoG banner on the page. Not it!

why the external link to evilavatar?
Because the statement is true :)
Since the EvAv wiki page mentions COG (and I cant believe Phil honestly tried to remove that, thats just pathetic), the page should be updated with a link to COG.
It should already have a link in the EAR section.

Get a bigger monitor :P It's smaller ;)

Ok I've updated some of the changes. I did more of a hierarchical ordering of the staff. It IS a wiki page if anyone else has additions feel free to add them :)
