They mention bringing back the undead :D. Maybe a Dracula reference. And you nailed it when you said in another thread a nice looking GoW clone. It does look real nice...and looks fun to play...now with those teasing tidbits with Belmont and the undead...i'm intrigued.

Looks sweet to me. I'll be buying it day one, though I should mention that a good story with great voice acting goes a long way with me. Hence my love of the Legacy of Kain games.

Now that's how you make a 3D Castlevania. Looks fantastic..and some good voice actors won't hurt.

Does anyone else get a bit tired of hearing Patrick Stewart doing voiceovers? He has an excellent speaking voice, but it's so familiar I can't help seeing Captain Picard when I hear him.

I just had a chat with rinichan about that.
I think it's going to be a prequel since Dracula mourned the loss of his lover and whatnot. It just matches the Dracula lore nicely. This Gabriel is Dracula. But that's just my theory.

I thought the same thing, but then there is the mention of wiping the Belmont name from the world forever, which kind of throws that theory out the window.

Unless they try to make the Belmonts the original evil in this game and the rest of the series meant to serve as them redeeming the family name? Flip flopping.

Could be mistaken, but it sounded like Gabriel's voice at the end talking about Belmonts. Could be wrong, though.

Also, and I'm not trying to be a dick, but Lament of Innocence came out before God of War and it was pretty much the same style of action game. Just saying.

Also, and this means nothing, the first time I played Devil May Cry I felt as if Capcom was just making what a GOOD 3D Castlevania title should be (not that any of the 3D Castlevania games are horrible. Curse of Darkness was fantastic, actually).

And I shall be buying this day one, but Castlevania is my all time favorite series, so it was a given 8-P.

Castlevania has the ability to have plots and stories that would rival LoK. I really hope this is the start of it.

The production value and effort being put into this game will redeem the Castlevania franchise. There is no doubt this game will be purchased if anything for the sole reason of hearing Patrick Stewart's voice in between killing shit.
