Oh well, I'll have more money by then or I'll be dead, so it works out.

That's dumb.
Probably better I get it on PS3 anyway. The player base there will be dumber, and cheating is at least marginally more difficult than the cakewalk the PC versions always are to hack.

Goddamn. How many people are waiting to get this game for PC? I'm afraid when it finally comes out this online only game will have a small community that will disappear quickly. Why? Because by now most people have played it on 360 and when it does come out for PC, it won't get a lot of attention. Too bad. I wanted to pick it up. I'll just get my BF fix elsewhere. I can't imagine what is taking so long to release it. I probably don't want to know.

Oh Snap!
I think 1Up has this on their Best Games of Summer 2009 (http://www.1up.com/do/feature?pager.offset=3&cId=3175376) list.
Frankly; I'm tired of WW2.
Edit: I see that's only the PC version that's delayed.

I'm one of the 10 people who really want this on the PC, so this is a bummer for me.
I also have the 360 version. It's a great game and I'm willing to buy it twice, because it's an excellent value, it'll play better with a mouse and keyboard, and I want to play it with my coworkers.
Hopefully there'll at least be a few other folks around for us to play with, by the time it actually comes out.

Ah, the reason they are delaying it and not just canning it makes sense. They are going to use the experience on BF1943 to make Bad Company 2 and BF3 be better.
even though BF1943 could be better on 360 anyhow.. It's controls still are not as good as Call of Duty and it's matchmaking is far behind CoD 4 and Halo 3.
But BF1943 was never meant as a game to have a major community lasting for years. It was a cheap little game that mixed nostalgia for BF1942 with modern tech on just a few maps.
