Itunes podcast question

Is there a way to force Itunes to recognize specific audio files as podcasts and treat them as such ? (i.e. stick them in the podcast section)

I'm not aware of a way of doing it IN iTunes but I have found that if I put a program called SharePod (http://www.getsharepod.com/) on my iPod it will allow you to move MP3s into the podcast category.

If anyone has another way of doing it, I would definitely be interested.
