The Playstation network will be down today while it undergoes some essential maintenance. The outage will run from 2pm-7pm EST/11am-4pm PST.

This outage is likely related to the upcoming firmware revisions coming to both the PSP and PS3.

Hopefully this means we'll see the new firmware late tonight or early tomorrow morning.

Update 2.50 went live. Downloading now, going really fast.

And there are patch notes before the install. Blu-ray settings, sequential video playback, controller power settings, all that stuff from the other thread.

Thank God you can set the controller to time out now. Why did they not have it time out before is beyond me.
