Developer Ascaron may be no more, but they're still putting out product. The first (and possibly only) expansion for Sacred 2 (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/tags.php?tag=sacred+2) will be released later this year.
The Ice & Blood expansion will present gamers with a new playable class - the Dragon Mage - two new playable regions as well as new quests, enemies and items to encounter.
Unfortunately it looks like the expansion is, for now, PC only and set to arrive at the end of the month.

1. I've learned not to buy expansions made for games that still have bugs if the original dev house is no longer in operation. In cases like that, patches never seem to get made for the inevitable bugs the expansion will add.
2. I can't imagine running out of stuff to do in Sacred 2.

let's hope this expansion hits Steam. That's where I bought Sacred 2 since I couldn't find a physical copy anywhere.

still have A LOT to do in the base game. By the time this dlc hits for 360, I'll still have a lot left to do in the base game.

Glass half empty, half full. They've got somebody working on the QA side of the house or the expansion wouldn't get released at all. The 2.43 version of the game is mostly stable(for a pc game, of course you can find a config out there where just about any game will crash regularly) and they've cleared up a lot of the other bugs. Anyways, it has come a long way since release.

I can... and have. Now sure, my character is only 120-130th lvl, but I've explored just about everything, killed just about everything, found just about every bit of loot there is, done every quest, etc.
Anyways, the German version of this expansion hits at the end of this month. I wouldn't expect anybody else to get it till later in the year. They were in talks to get console versions but I have no idea how those went/if they're still going on/etc.
PC version dropped to $19.99 at Best Buy and Gamestop recently, for those in the US.

Yeah... No thanks. I've been burned on scenarios just like this once too often now. The assurances of having someone else doing QC and patching has always turned out to be a complete lie. In my experience, the publisher just wants to poop out the finished product with as little dev budget as possible. Rarely is there any budget set aside for patching.
Hell, I'm still waiting on the promised patch for Titan Quest's expansion. :p

I'd be interested IF it was on 360...

Are you waiting for an angel to deliver it or something? Iron Lore is dead, but thanks to support from a great community Titan Quest and Iron Throne have a great unofficial patch (http://www.titanquest.net/forums/bugfix-fanpatch/30510-rel-bugfix-patch-1-17-a.html).
That patch is at 1.17/1.17a(for DD customers).
While you were waiting, others were patching, playing, and enjoying. :) TQ/IT actually has a larger online presence than Sacred 2, in terms of finding servers and games to play in.
...and hey, I'm not saying to buy the expansion sight unseen, I'm just saying that both of these games are in great shape and have been for awhile, with or without "official" patches and support.
