View Full Version : PAX Shirts = too expensive

I did a price breakdown.
Basic Dark Shirt = $24.70
2x + $4 = $28.70
+ Economy Shipping $4.99 = $33.69
Basic White Shirt = $17.95
2x + $4 = $21.95
any other color + $2.85 = $24.80
+ Economy Shipping $4.99 = $29.79
or if you just want white = $26.94
Those prices are way too expensive. Especially when mightbe's design looks small on the shirt and the other design looks like someone took a black sticker and pasted it on a white shirt. It doesn't even look right on a black shirt. Didn't we get these for $20 last year? I know that connection is probably gone but we can probably find a better deal than zazzle next year. Almost any deal is a better deal.
A basic black shirt for $34? No thanks.

Who is printing these shirts? You should be able to find awesome quality screen printing shops for a lot less than that. Particularly for an event like this, shirts shouldn't be that much money.

Zazzle sucks.

Yeah... you guys could definitely find a screen printing shop to get you a much better deal. Get everyone's sizes and money and you will be saving a lot, I think. Zazzle looks like one of those cafe press type places and I'm not sure the quality would be worth it with their markup in there.

Fuck... I think I'll just Sharpie a cog onto a shirt myself.
:edit:
Don't get me wrong, I want to support our network here and I understand that the royalties are low enough as it is, but I cannot justify more than $20 for a T-shirt.

Sorry guys, I can't wear a COG shirt. I've already got my AdultFriendFinder.com shirt fresh from the drycleaners and ready to go. :D

I'm investigating a few places to get them printed for probably about half of that price. If you know a place that can get us a deal on 30 shirts or so, send me a pm/email.

Let me check the shirt store at the mall by my house. That way could even make it so no shipping is involved and can put shirts into Ziploc bags with names written on the bag with Sharpee for you all :)
EDIT: Okay, called Shirtz To Go and he said that white shirts would be about $12 and any other color would be about $17, a little more for larger than XL. He would have to see the image before giving a final price but said that he doesn't see any reason it would be more than $20 per shirt.

The nice thing about Zazzle is you can change the shirt base to whatever you want. There's cheaper options on there - but yeah - Zazzle has gotten way too expensive overall. They used to be a great deal and their quality is outstanding.
One of the white shirts out there you can get for $23 shipped at the 2x size.

Unfortunately they recently raised the minimum royalty rate to 10%, which is what all of our merchandise is at. We can't make it any cheaper unfortunately.

I'm stuck in a meeting right now but after this I'm off to my friend's place of work to see what he can do it for. For 20-30 shirts it's looking like 12$ a shirt. I can get another big break at 50 shirts as well. Expect a thread from me taking orders in a few hours.
