I appreciate it when a publisher has a sense of humor about their product. That approach can be seen in this 'Grindhouse'-style trailer for SouthPeak and Evolved Games' Raven Squad. A co-op ready shooter which also incorporates elements of RTS into the mix. It's slated for a release on the 360 and PC in August.

Ugh. The VO writing was terrible.

And may I just say that I hope the 'Grindhouse' trend dies quickly.

FPS/Strategy huh? I was pretty pumped when Savage tried this, but ended up not liking it much at all. Maybe these guys can do better....

Thing is, it's not even a GOOD grindhouse ad. It looks like someone took some game footage and spliced it together with a filter for YouTube. If I was interested in the game, that would have officially killed it. Also, the AI seems rather....slow. Or maybe I'm the only one who saw him gun down about 7 people standing in a group and not one so much as moved out of the way, let alone seemed to care his friend died a second prior.
