I had never heard of chicken and waffles until about a month and a half ago. Apparently there's a place in town called Slim's Chicken and Waffles that's supposed to be awesome. I have to try it some time.

Maple syrup on your bacon is delicious. Granted, I wouldn't go and get the syrup and pour it on bacon just because, but if you're having pancakes or waffles or crepes and bacon is nearby, get to dipping!

How much do you think I am putting in there?

I scramble the eggs in a separate bowl, adding in salt & pepper, cheese, and syrup. It isn't much syrup either...but enough to bring in some flavor and sweetness to the eggs. Then I cook it.

:o I love syrup. So I was thinking a lot. I even sprinkle cheese on hot eggs that's already on the plate, for a natural melt. Cooked melt may taste better but I like the skillet to be stick free as possible.

Thanks, I'm hoping to get my avatar and profile updated, then start reading and posting.

I'm more of an old school gamer, having been out of non-PC video games since the Sega Genesis, but I've recently started getting back into the scene, purchasing a DS Lite and looking at some of the home consoles to see which one fits me best. I've remained current on PC gaming the whole time, though.

I'm also starting a retro game collection, beginning with a Neo Geo Pocket Color and a few games. Finances will prevent the collection from growing too large, but it brings back memories :)

Neo Geo Pocket Color? I have one of those. I actually bought it when it came out. I loved that handheld. It was the system that introduced me to Metal Slug.

I am (was) a veteran EvAv reader, not a super-active poster but I had read the site since... well, I was there for many years.

Kinda sucks what's happened in the past few months (I had taken a pause from the site, since things seemed to be slowly going down the drain over there); I only found out about this place today.

Anyway, what's done is done, won't dwell on that. Just want to congratulate you guys on this new site, it's great to see all the old posters again! I hope to migrate into the forum and start getting a bit active again. i doubt a whole lot of people remember me, but for those that do, you're cool. If not, you're also cool.

Alright, perhaps "caved" wasn't the best choice of words. Personally, I held off on the transition, because I was hoping the EvAv situation would improve (bit of stubbornness on my part). It just lacks, the "life" it used to have; plus, with the new year right around the corner, it felt like a good time to make the switch.

A bit of info Kojak learned the hard way: If you run into a person on LIVE with the gamertag "kasmardj," don't ask him if he likes to party. He never answered us, but I'm going to make an educated guess based on the way he reported Kojak that he, in fact, does not like to party. ;)
