I'm not sure what the technical or geek term for it is, but this site needs one of those little images that appear next to the site name in the address bar.
I like seeing the little picture instead of a plain blue ball when I click on the site in my bookmarks. :)

We have an image to use for a favicon, we're tied up in other things at the moment.'
patience, friend.

Thanks!
I figured it was coming, and I am very patient. I just wanted to send out my suggestion in case no one else had thought of it.
Overall I love the site so far - especially the banner image at the top!

I'd also like to see an increase in the PM limit! My PM bank at the old site had become something of a storage unit for old messages, and I'm having fun reading back through them before they are purged.

Psst, have you looked at your limit? This morning it was 50, and now it's 150. Maybe it increases once you get past 25 posts?

Oh, great catch! Thanks!
150 is plenty...for now. :D

Ok I do have a good suggestion finally. I love the hybrid threading feature. It allows you to see exactly where your reading in the thread stopped, and what posts are new. However, when you click on the link it takes you to the single post / sub-thread, instead of just moving to the page anchor.
Is it possible to make it so the links in the hybrid view to forward to the post you clicked instead? Pretty please CoG Gods? :)

What is this hybrid threading feature that you speak of?
There are a lot of things here that I have yet to discover or fully grasp. I've seen the blogs, friends, and user profile stuff before on another forum that I visit, but I've never delved that deeply into all of the features. I'll have to start poking around and see what I can find.

One of my more recent and gleeful nerd moments was when I figured out how to change the favicon on my site. Floppy Disc FTW.

Any chance of autosubscription to threads you've posted in?

I am depressed:
my initial reaction was Heh n00b!
And I am not entirely convinced it was with irony.

The display modes for the threads. You can view it as a forum, or as an old school thread. The hybrid mode does both. Kinda convenient to see where you left off reading if you don't use email notifications on updates.

Oh okay, I'll have to check that out.
