Never heard of it? Well... ITSP is a side scrolling game that has been in development at Gagne International for over two years. That's certainly lengthy when you consider that it's a 2D game, but the time spent on the game clearly shows and shines through this visually stunning new trailer that GT has just released:

The game seems far along in development and the devs at Gagne are currently hunting for publishers. Hope they find a good one soon!
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is currently only listed for release on the PC.

The track in the trailer is “Blood Hunger Doctrine” from the album Death Cult Armageddon by Dimmu Borgir as noted on the developer blog.

That looks great, do they really need a publisher or can they just put it on Steam and the others digital stores?
I'll keep an eye out for this now, it reminded me of about 10 different old school games all mashed into one insane vision, I'm sold already.

Based on that trailer, it'd take some seriously poor reviews to convince me that I shouldn't get this ASAP.

Wow, that is really really awesome looking. Either they are brilliant trailer-makers, or brilliant game-makers. ;)
(Perhaps both.)

Update: An XBLA version is possible, as the developer has shown off some demos and prototypes to Microsoft. However, given the recent dumpage on indie developers who make games for XBLA on Microsoft's part, the fate of a possible port is unknown.
There have been no updates after the demonstration for Microsoft regarding the subject either. Not a good sign considering what I've just said. Sad... given that these guys deserve as many sales on as many platforms as possible given their work.

Sad thing is, I would rather play this than Braid The last 'great' indie game for XBLA before the community gamer thing happened and sort of screwed the pooch... Hell, I'd play for the music alone.
I love games that move like liquid...something about the feeling like I'm playing an interactive cartoon appeals to me.

Wow, this looks like a lot of fun. An interesting twist on the Metroidvania style game. Sort of reminds me of Aquaria with mixed with Loco Roco style graphics with one other game that I can't remember the name of right now. The entire game was black and white and it had this boy running through these side scrolling levels. There was one part where he was moving through these gears. What was the name of that project???

I don't think that one's been released yet, and I've forgotten the name to thanks to the game being out of the news pages for so long.

I don't think it has either. I wish I could remember the name of it so I could check to see if there is any more info on it.

That was cool, but Minotaur in China Shop was hilarious.
