Not really news, but I found this video this morning and had to share.
Soulja Boy Doesn't Like Co-Op (http://www.co-optimus.com/article/668/Soulja_Boy_Doesnt_like_Co-Op.html).

I just threw up a little bit in my mouth.
I really want some Colonist to hand his ass to him now.

I like to imagine him gaming with his ridiculous white shades on, slurring incoherently into his microphone non-stop.

That was fucking AWESOME!
And I love that nobody pointed out he has a pink controller. ;)

That is the best popculture endorsement MS could probably get and they got it for free. He even took on the PS3 after showing his off by saying "PS3 sucks, ain't nobody play no goddamn PS3." If this dude isn't already on MS's payroll he should be. I remember several rappers bragging about their PS2s when it came out a decade ago. It played an important role in creating making the PS2 an elite popcultur icon that walked all over Dreamcast.

Someone's color blind. That controller is definitely RED.

Huh! Looked pink to me.
In any case, I want to meet Soulja Boy some time - he seems like a riot.
"Don't no'body play no gotdamn Playstation."
Ah, the grammatically errornious fanboy rhetoric. For someone who is all about "whoopin' ass" he sure does have a low gamer score.

He seems a lot sharper and more charasmatic in this video than the others I've seen posted on youtube (the Drive Through Store and Braid one) where he was clearly stoned out of his mind.
Letting people film you in a mind altered state is never a good idea.

I'm not sure I would equate "not being stoned out his mind" with being sharper and more charismatic. Probably just "less stoned than usual".

He bought Guilty Gear 2?!!!!!
Aside from that... I bet there is some hardcore gaming going on at his place... unless it's on a PS3 or a Wii.
He also needs to play more, 3337 is nowhere near enough epeen for all the games he has.

Well he sounded so to me. But it depends upon what your criteria of judgement are. Personally, I don't judge someone's intelligence based on whether or not they use double negatives or say "You is." I know enough about the history of grammar and the politics of grammar to know that it is a lame way to judge someone's cognitive ability. And for the record, I TEACH university course in grammatical analysis.
However, I will say that the constant consumeristic braggadocio aspect of hip hop culture bothers me. But Soulja Boy didn't create that environment, he just knows how to thrive in it.

I have a lot of friends on my list that play more on the 360 than I do and they have gamerscores that low. That is primarily because they play only 2 or 3 games (Primarily Halo and Rockband players in the case of my friends), which I imagine is the case here.

Sounds like I should eBay off my X360 Elite with this magnificent paragon of humanity on the loose.

+1!!!!
I love the beat, and sounds of hip hop/rap. I love good "flow" with a really good rapper. But the attitude you're talking about is a huge problem for me, and doubly so coming from the rappers who are also criminals. But hey, it's how they make money.

I had to pay for that video.
Soulja Boy - So clever he makes no sense.
Note: With my extreme cheat codes, I will kick your ass.
Second note: I will also type your ass down into the ground, noob.

I'm not entirely sure how to feel about this.
EvAv should get some CoD4'ers together (I play, just I haven't with you guys. Hit me up, sometime) and totally challenge him.
Something about shooting RL thugs up in CoD4 appeals to me.
Plus, I want to hear him do Druid Boy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdX8YwtLilw).

It is if that's part of your appeal.

Oh my goodness Soulja Boy is hilarious in that video. "I will type yo' ass". Classic.
Also that controller totally looks pink to me.

I think it is awesome. He likes gaming. He likes to take on people in games. What better way to form a bond with your fans, and make new fans, than to play games with them. The dude may be much more intelligent than anyone gives him credit for.

Yup, if I was rich I'd probably have about 10 stations to game at in my house too.

It was mostly stupid and annoying, but the "type yo' ass" part and the part about the fans were funny.
"OHMYGOD, Soulja Boy, I am your biggest fan", "Pop! Headshot!" = very funny.
