Today is a good day.

Lets rewind a bit. I started a new job in February after working in a call center for almost 2 (absolutely horrid) months. This was after being unemployed for almost an entire year, my girlfriend of 5 years breaking up with me and my 11 year old pitbull dying from kidney failure. For a while there I thought I was going to have to write a country song about my life.

Fast forward to today. I love my job. I work at a very small company in my chosen profession (HVAC) doing work I really enjoy. I have my own office, with my very own window and (as I like to say) a door I can slam when I need to. I've been in this industry for almost 9 years now so I'd like to think I've gleaned a fair amount of knowledge. So...

My boss called me into his office today to tell me that I have been hired on (off probation) and that I was receiving a $3/hour raise. We have a fantastic medical/dental plan and a great 401k package that is now available to me. I'm dating an absolutely gorgeous woman who had a slight Morrowind addiction before we started dating (I plan to show her Fallout 3 tonight). I have a new Stafford-shire Terrier puppy who I brought camping with me this weekend. The dog loves sleeping in the tent. So...

She had a lot of trouble admitting that she played video games at all when we first started dating. Being the inquisitive little shit that I am I poked and prodded until she finally admitted to playing Morrowind...a fucking ton. She had logged 100+ hours in the game. I have dated a lot of women, and have yet to have a girlfriend who will game with me.
