IGN (http://ign.com/) just put of their review (http://wii.ign.com/articles/918/918954p1.html) of World of Goo (http://2dboy.com), the first review of the Wii version.

Their conclusion:
World of Goo is an amazing WiiWare game that you simply must buy for this is exactly the type of software that needs both recognition and support. A three-man team has created a title that is not only significantly cheaper than most retail Wii games, but a hell of a lot better in every regard, from concept to execution. It's packed full of brilliant, challenging levels. It's gorgeous. It's got beautiful music. And it controls really well. So if you value any or all of these qualities, and hopefully you do, you should be delighted to know that Nintendo's downloadable service is about to rock your world, goo style.

And the score is a 9.5.

I'm so ready for this game. Can't wait for Monday.

Allow the WiiWare Defense Force to reconfirm it. (2D Boy (http://2dboy.com/2008/10/10/where-to-get-the-goo/))

launch day is coming up this monday and the 2d boys have never been so anxious and excited! world of goo will still be available for purchase on our website, and the boxed version is already available for pre-order on amazon.com.

starting this monday, you’ll also be able to purchase it on wiiware, steam, and direct2drive. the game’s nintendo channel page is already up as is the steam page. thanks to the two jasons and doug over at valve for helping us get the game set up with steamworks so quickly! (can you say achievements?). huge thanks to dan adelman at nintendo for all the help and support he’s given us over the last year.

the game will also be available on greenhouse, the most indie friendly portal there is. 2d boy cheers for penny arcade and hothead games for bringing it into existence.

last but not least, the good people at brighter minds, our retail publisher for the PC version in north america will make the game available on their new portal, beanstalk games. thanks ran and jody!

[ update: several people who have pre-ordered have asked us if they’d be able to activate the game on steam. we contacted valve about this and the answer is a big fat YES. when the game releases, anyone who pre-ordered from our website will be able to use their magic key to activate the game on steam. we’re working with them right now to make this happen. ]

I have it for PC, so I got the PC's early release last week. Absolutely awesome. Really, really challenging, too. He ramped up the difficulty from the beta.

I played tower, what does World of Goo add?

Also, DRM free makes me a happy boy.

Different goo types, more than just tower building. High focus on puzzle-solving with your goo buildings. High-score leaderboards. Lots of beautiful art.
