I think a Ninja Blowgun Knife (http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/DBA131-1.html) would be more useful, really.

I shouldn't show these to my roommate... he already wants to stock up on MREs and other stuff to prepare for the zombie apocalypse.

That is the perfect roommate. A guy who is ready for anything, so you don't have to be. Just be sure you know where his bug-out bag is in case the shit hits the fan when he's at work or something, so you can get to the mountains on your own.

pic *snip*

I think we get one or two of these with the survival edition of Fallout 3 from Amazon :p

Those seem awfully cheap. In case of an apocalypse I'm not sure I'd feel confident with a 10$ gas mask.

I have more faith in my $35 asbestos respirator. :o But, in a pinch, we have a good surplus store in town. :D

The Zombie Survival Guide, for all its joking, actually has a pretty good list of things to pick up for emergencies, and he's right - a bike is probably the most efficient way to get around.

I once had a brand new military gas mask at home when I was in the reserves. The only time I used it was when I went into the bathroom after someone had taken a mean dump. Damn thing filters EVERYTHING! ;)

What, no guns?

Guns run out of ammo, a sword or machete works very well.

Okay, one of each on order.

That is a great idea. People need to tone down on what ever makes the bathroom smell bad.

But when all is lost, you see how easy it is to off yourself with a machete.

Things I have ebayed, bladed weapons, telescopic baton, kevlar vest, kevlar gloves, boots, gas masks, regular masks, tasers, and other sorts of body armor and weapons. The first batch just stick out as recent searches.

Pfft Blade uses both.

QFT. Plus I already have a sword, so I didn't think of that.

I shouldn't show these to my roommate... he already wants to stock up on MREs and other stuff to prepare for the zombie apocalypse.I've absolutely given thought to making a bug-out bag. Instead I've decided to just buy an axe and chop down my stairs if things go bad (as per The Zombie Survival Guide.)QFT. Plus I already have a sword, so I didn't think of that. But seriously, how many people are good enough with a sword to actually deliver a decapitating blow, much less one to chop through the skull?

When push comes to shove, I've sure wild swings will get the results you need. Besides I've watched enough anime to have the jist.

Why don't you need this stuff?!
And for $10, won't it be worth it when the bombs fall?

Reminds me to make a gtfo bag. Could come in handy as a earthquake bag too, living in Cali an all.

It's difficult, but restores max honor.

I have two Israeli gas masks, they look very much like the one Psycho Mantis wears.

When I was in college I made one into a wearable bong. Aaah college.

I'm trying to imagine how you would do this, as one swoop wouldn't do it.

Put a box fan on the end of a table. Take off the front guard. Tie the machete to one of the fan blades. Turn onto max power. Approach the table, and hope that the sharp edge is the one that hits.

Or put it in a gun.
